29 weeks and counting...

At this point in your pregnancy, your baby's crown-to-rump length is approximately 10.4 inches and the total length of your baby is around 16.7 inches. Your baby weighs about 2.7 pounds and continues to grow every day. If you measure from your bellybutton, your uterus is 3.5 to 4 inches above it. Total weight gain at this point is usually between 19 and 25 pounds. Babies that are born prematurely can be very tiny. Even a baby that is only a few weeks early can be very small. Your baby will grow rapidly from now until week 36, and then at a slower rate thereafter. Generally, boys weigh more than girls at birth. The average baby's birth weight at full term is 7 to 7.5 pounds. You might notice some leakage of colostrums from your breasts around this time. Colostrums is a sticky, watery substance that provides your baby's first food if you choose to breastfeed. Milk does not come in immediately after delivery and colostrums is high in calories and enough for your baby's first few days of life. Your baby is stimulating the production of colostrums. The baby's body is ensuring that there will be a readily available food supply after delivery. Your baby will continue to open and close his eyes in the womb and may be able to see silhouettes of objects or even people in the right amount of light. Your baby should be moving many times throughout the day. Some of your baby's movements will be predictable and if you notice a decrease in fetal movements, you should lie down and do a fetal kick count. You should feel your baby move approximately ten times in an hour. If you do not notice the proper amount of movements, you should contact your healthcare provider.
...these are the emails i receive over and over again. letting me know the joys of pregnancy. what they forget to insert....possibly every night will be sleepless. you will not be able to find a position to "satisfy" you and your unborn. your hands will possibly "go to sleep" with any position you decide on. the lovely, wake you from your sleep leg cramps. once you finally get in that so called comfortable position then the leg cramps start. the once that leave your legs aching two days later. the constant "stopped" up nose. oh .. i can smell. only the disgusting sweat of boys, or the stinking dogs, or something sour. not the fresh air of fall, or my wonderful smelling candles..you know the good stuff. also, that sitting, standing etc will probably always be uncomfortable. especially when you have the exorcist trying to make its way out of your navel. these are all very new experiences for me. no this is not my first but my third. the first two pregnancies were a breeze. close to perfect. God knew what he was doing when he saved this little princess for last.

yeah for Fridays....well she had other plans

so it started out like every other friday. finishing up the weeks work, depositing checks and getting ready for soccer games on saturday. bethany was coming in and we were all going to grab supper and then come home and take it easy. well of course with children...things change. around 3 p.m. i was working at my desk and notice some tightening. i passed it off...thinking she was just moving and was in weird positions that was causing discomfort. i then go to my couch and layout hoping that it will pass. while relaxing on the couch the boys needed to show me things and tell me 100 things. well apparently she did not like them getting all the attention and things started to pick up. not only was the tightening getting worse but then the cramping started. i kept trying to tell myself that it was nothing but i knew something did not feel right. mom told me i needed to go ahead and call the doctor and probably get a shower because she was sure that i would have to be monitored. so...i called the doctor and of course they told me to get to labor and delivery to get checked out. i get in, get the monitors on and just hang out. my hubby, my mom and my sister all joined me at the hospital to keep me company and hopefully keep my mind off of everything. my wonderful mother-in-law ran over to keep the boys. (thank God for wonderful family and friends) the nurse informs me that dr. daniels is delivering babies and will be in there to check on me soon. yeah! arabelle likes dr. daniels....thursday we went for the 29 week check up. everything was normal. looking great. (this is exactly what he said at our 25 week checkup. and then the day after we started spotting, which led to the first hospital visit) he said keep up the good work mrs. ishee and we will see you in 3 weeks. she heard it and she knew 3 weeks was just too long for someone to give her the attention she wanted. so nurse comes back in to let me know she is about to give me a shot breathene and a pill to stop the contractions. a few minutes after that excitement, dr. daniels comes in with his auburn shirt on and his blue scrubs to match. bethany had on her lovely alabama sweatshirt so after a few minutes of messing with her, he tells me that i have another UTI and that he was going to send me home with some antibiotics. also, since i have several of these during this pregnancy he is going to put me on a suppression pill to try and keep this from happening so much. he said there could also be a possibility that they put me on the breathene pills throughout the rest of the pregnancy. so after a few minutes of him sitting there telling us about his children and some of their decisions in life, he sends me on my merry way. before he goes he said make sure i cool my jets for about 72 hours. i get home around 9:30 and my sweet boys have about 700 things they need to tell and show me. how sweet. you would have thought i had been away for a month. after a few minutes garrett comes over and lays beside me and said "how is arabelle?" i told him that the doctor said she was just fine. he said "did she jump every time they tried to touch her." he is such a sweet heart. he then laid there on my stomach with both hands pressed against it..waiting for his sister to jump for him. (like she was a circus act or something) these children are truly a blessing. they are my heart and soul and i thank God everyday for each and everyone of them.

Wanted...

with arabelles arrival getting closer, i have been obsessed with certain things that i have added to my gotta have list. just thought i would share them with you all.
these are reusable diapers that i am really excited about. i know that is sad. i am ready to try them out. it may become to much of a hassle but i am ready to see. this is the vinyl sticker that we are going to be purchasing for her wall. we think. there are a few out there but the colors are just not matching her bedding. of course everything comes in neon green or pink but that is nowhere close to her colors. this is about the color and so is this.
ok, so since i found out i was being blessed with a little girl i have been getting her some little pig things. i collected pigs and thought it would be cute for her. i told everyone i wanted her a "rocking pig" and look what i found. it is pricey but oh so cute.
these booties are my favorite. i think they will be perfect for her. most of her outfits right now are white of pale pink so these would go just fine. and last but not least. i want this of course once she is alittle older but this dress is so sweet.
i am sure she will be a cutie playing out in the mud with her brother - with this dress on.
anyways - as you can see i have an addiction. thank God for it.

pink...it's my new obsession

alot has happened since the last update. first, i got the approval from dr. daniels to come off of bedrest but to take it easy. they did another sonogram and the fluids were good and no change in the afterbirth. yeah! family is still helping out with house work, running the kids and etc. i have actually gotten out to do a few things but not to much. soccer is taking up lots of our time with the traveling.

i have been working hard on getting arabelle's room organized and things put to place. (just in case) we have two showers planned for the second weekend in november and i want things in place so we can just add to it. time seemed to go by so slow at first but here lately it has been flying by. i can't wait till the little princess is here. mom said i need to buy her something blue but right now i enjoy buying pale pink and white clothing for her. can't pull those two colors off with boys.
also, i was registering at wal-mart.com and came across reusable diapers. it sounds kinda gross but i really am interested in them. i think i am going to try them out. it may be too much of a hassle but just think how much money it could save. interesting huh?
oh and before i go there is this lady out of huntsville that i ordered arabelle two bags and a burp cloth from. very cute. she emailed me the other day and told me that she would be doing a show in november and wanted to use arabelles full name if i did not mind. i told her that was fine. she said once the show is over she will be shipping me the items used in the show. yeah, for gifts. check her out at www.groovymommy.com
i will be updating again soon...i hope. i have some new pictures that i need to share.
